Take a step back from the business of everyday life and immerse yourself in the slow and rewarding practice of printmaking! In this 3-class course, participants will explore a range of printmaking techniques, including mono, relief, collagraph, and reduction printing, all using accessible materials and user-friendly, approachable methods. Through hands-on, playful projects, participants will learn how to communicate ideas and express themselves through printmaking, while embracing the unexpected marks, smudges, and blurs that come with the 1,000-year-old practice.
This class will emphasize creativity, curiosity, and the process over perfection. Participants will leave with a collection of their own unique prints, a deepened understanding of foundational printmaking skills, and a newfound appreciation for handmade print and design.
