Growing Culinary Herbs in Your Garden

Most culinary herbs are easy and inexpensive to grow in your garden or in pots. They taste so much better than anything from the store! And using freshly dried herbs in winter is a revelation. Learn about 10 herbs to grow in your garden, or in pots—how to grow them, when and how to harvest, and how to dry them. Leave feeling confident about your ability to grow your favorite herbs. Handout included. 1 ½ hour

Instructor Bio: Iris Weaver is an herbalist and foraging instructor who leads plant walks on finding and using edible and medicinal plants in urban, suburban, and rural settings, as well as teaching a variety of classes and hands-on workshops. She is an avid gardener, especially of herbs of all kinds. With a deep love of the plants, she grows and wild-crafts many of the plants she uses in her herbal products, medicines, and foods, and has been doing so for decades. She is passionate about sharing what she knows about herbs, weeds, and all kinds of plants.
