Babysitter's Training Workshop with Debbie LaFlamme
Instructor: Debbie LaFlamme. This workshop will better prepare young teens, ages 11 and over, to be a more responsible, trustworthy babysitter for family and friends. Course manuals included. This workshop discusses: interviewing with parents, infant and toddler care, handling bedtime issues, choosing safe, age-appropriate toys and games, basic first aid, and tips for having a safe babysitting experience.

One Saturday, 9:00AM-1:00PM. Runs on May 5 at Camp Paradise on 44 Cole Street in Beverly. $50.


CIT Program
Counselors in Training or CITs (13, 14 & 15 years old) gain counselor training and take on responsibility as they plan and execute games, sports and crafts with camp and park counselors. Application deadline is Friday, May 4. Apply now and be a part of our team!


FREE CLASS! Financial Planning for the Average Household
Instructor: Larry Albert, Capital Management Partners, LLC. If you would like to get a handle on your family’s overall financial picture, this course is for you! We will answer basic questions of household finance and cover these topics: setting financial goals, budgeting, saving and investing, insurance, appropriate use of debt, and estate planning basics.

Kids/Teen Scene Study for Film & TV (Ages 10-17)
Instructor: Charlie Van Eman, Boston Casting, Inc. Through scene work from film and television scripts, students will work on-camera with playback as they learn how to audition for and work in film and television. Class work targets character development, reading and analyzing scripts, and more.

Four Mondays, 6:00-8:00PM. Runs from February 26-March 19 at the Beverly Senior Center. $165.


FREE CLASS! Long Term Care Planning Strategies
Instructor: James Hayward. This is an informational and educational workshop on a variety of holistic long term care planning strategies. We will define what an extended health care event is, we will discuss the financial and emotional impact of this unexpected, unplanned, unfunded event. We will also touch upon what the Government does and does not cover and how this could impact your families overall well-being.

Parent & Tot Gymnastics (Ages 1-3)
Instructor: Iron Rail Gymnastics. This informal class uses music and child-sized equipment to help children develop physical, verbal, and social skills. Toddlers, along with their mothers, fathers, or guardians will have free play time and run through a series of activities designed to stimulate, educate and improve socialization.

Eleven Wednesdays, 9:15-10:00AM. Runs from February 28 – May 9 at Iron Rail Gymnastics Academy on 91 Grapevine Road in Wenham. $125.


PAWZ - Middle School Strength & Conditioning
Now in its 15th year, this program was designed by the BHS athletic staff to teach the same strength and conditioning routines used by many BHS athletic teams (boys and girls). Supervised workouts for middle school students to learn how to train properly. Ideal for kids involved in sports or those who are not, but want to be healthy and confident.

Twelve Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 5:15-6:45PM. Runs from January 8-March 30 at BHS (class meets in the hallway next to the cafeteria, auditorium and Field House). $80..


Youth Umpire Training
Instructor: Bruce Doig. Learn the basics necessary to umpire Little League and Girls Softball games. Open to any boy or girl who will be 13 years old by April 1, 2018. All participants receive rule books. Class is open only to Beverly residents. Class size is limited to 15. Passing this class does not guarantee game assignments.

Two Mondays, 7:15-8:45PM. Runs from March 5-12 at the Beverly Senior Center. $35.


Youth Wrestling
Instructor: Paul Casey, BHS Head Wrestling Coach. Learn the basics of wresting while gaining a competitive edge in other sports.
