Supporters of the Beverly Recreation Department have gathered together to form a private, not-for-profit charitable organization. “The Friends of Beverly Recreation, Inc.”, operates independently of the municipal government and benefits their various programs. The “Friends” exist to support the programs and essential services that the Recreation Department provides. The “Friends” financially aid the following: Summer playground program Replace aging playground equipment Program scholarships Field renovations The “Friends” provide opportunities for people to help themselves.
