The Lynch Park Advisory Committee is a specialized group formed to develop a Lynch Park Plan
to best serve the community for the future. Each member represents a Board or Commission or Organization
that is directly involved with either park operations or has authority over permitting necessary for future improvements.
The committee has a goal of completing Lynch Park Master Plan in one year. The work of the committee is to make
recommendations for implementation of improvements and enhancements to the park.
The objective of the Committee is to create a 21st century park while maintaining its historic character and
charm.
In order to accomplish this objective the committee will be addressing several key issues including appropriate
coexistent passive and active recreational uses, enhancements and beautification, buildings and ground infrastructure,
access, fund raising and policy. Anyone interested in serving on any of these sub-committees should write a letter of
interest to the Recreation Department attn. Lynch Park Advisory Committee, or call the subcommittee chairman or the
Recreation Department (978-921-6067).
It is going to take a whole community working together to make this dream a reality. There will also be
opportunities with
public meetings during the designing stages. All meetings are public and posted at city hall.
