How do I know I’m registered for a lesson or class?
Consider yourself enrolled unless you hear otherwise. The only time you will hear from us is if there is a change in the
time, day or location of a lesson or class, or if the lesson or class is full or has been cancelled. If you would like a
course confirmation sheet/receipt, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope.
Where do classes meet?
Course locations are listed with course descriptions.
I’m not a Beverly resident, can I still register for evening enrichment, camp and sports?
Non-residents may register for all programs, as long as space remains, except the Guild of Beverly Artists Art Lessons and
Babysitter’s Training.
In situations of inclement weather, how will I know if a class/program has been cancelled?
Please call the Recreation Office at (978) 921-6067 or log on to www.bevrec.com if in doubt.
Where is the Beverly Recreation Department’s office?
The Beverly Recreation Department’s office is located at Lynch Park on 55 Ober Street. The office is a small, gray house,
behind the bathrooms and across from the Rose Garden. Office hours are Mon-Fri, 8:30AM - 4:30PM.
How do I get to the Senior Center (Council on Aging)?
The Beverly Senior Center is located on 90 Colon Street, on the corner of Colon and Heather Streets. From 128N, take exit 19
(Brimbal Ave.). Take your first left, and bear to the right. Take a right onto Brimbal Ave. Proceed down Brimbal Ave. until
reaching the 4-way intersection. Take a right onto Colon Street. The Senior Center is a gray building on the right side of
the street. Parking is available in the lot behind the building or on the street in front of the building. Please enter
behind the building for evening enrichment classes.
How do I get to Cove Elementary School?
Cove Elementary School is located on 20 Eisenhower Avenue. From 128N, take exit 19 (Brimbal Ave.). Take your first left and
bear to the right. Take a right onto Brimbal Ave. Go straight through the 4-way intersection. Take a right at the Stop sign
on to Essex Street. Take a left onto Corning Street. At the second stop sign, take a left onto Hale Street. Take the second
left on Eisenhower Ave. Cove School is the last building on the left side of the street.
How do I get to Dane Street Beach?
Dane Street Beach is located at the intersection of Dane and Lothrop Streets in Beverly. From 128N take exit 18. Turn right
onto Rte 22S. Traveling south you will see a small shopping area on the left. Pass over a set of railroad tracks and take a
left onto the third street, Corning Street. At the second stop sign, take a right onto East Lothrop Street. At the traffic
light, proceed straight and Dane Street beach is on your left.
How do I get to Hannah Elementary School?
Hannah Elementary School is located on R41 Brimbal Avenue. From 128N, take exit 19 (Brimbal Ave.). Take your first left and
bear to the right. Take a right onto Brimbal Ave. Hannah School will be on the left side of the street, indicated by a
large, red sign.
How do I get to the GAR Hall?
The GAR Hall is located on 8 Dane Street. From 128N take exit 19 (Brimbal Ave.). Continue straight off the exit on Sohier
Road. At the first set of lights continue straight. At the second set of lights turn left onto Cabot Street. Take a left
onto Dane Street, the GAR is a blue-gray building between the Memorial United Methodist Church and the Dane Street
Congregational Church.
How do I get to the Memorial Building?
Memorial is located on 502 Cabot Street. From 128N, take exit 19 (Brimbal Ave.). Proceed straight. At the lights take a
slight right onto Herrick St. At street’s end take a right onto Cabot St. It will be on the left side of the street.
How do I get to McKeown Elementary School?
McKeown Elementary School is located on 70 Balch Street. From 128N, take exit 19 (Brimbal Ave.). Off ramp continue straight.
At the first set of lights take a slight right onto Herrick Street. At the end of the street turn right onto Cabot Street.
At the first set of traffic lights turn left onto Balch Street. McKeown is a large brick building on the left side of the
street.
How do I get to the Waring School?
The Waring School is on 35 Standley St. From 128N, take Exit 18 (Route 22). Turn left off of the ramp and go approximately
0.3 miles. After the Mobil station, turn right onto Groce Street. Turn right onto Standley Street and drive 0.5 miles. Waring
School is on the left. The main building is opposite the parking area.
How do I get to Balch Park?
Balch Park is located on at the intersection of Balch and Cabot Streets. From 128N take exit 20B. Turn left onto Cabot
Street. At the traffic light, proceed straight and Balch Park is immediately on your right.
How do I get to the Beverly Golf & Tennis Club?
The Beverly Golf & Tennis Club is located on 134 McKay Street in Beverly. From 128N take exit 20B onto Route 1A. 1/8
mile to intersection. Take a right onto the street to the right of the Mobil station. Take a left at the bend onto McKay
Street. 1/4 mile to the Beverly Golf and Tennis Club on the right.
How do I get to the U.S. Taekwondo Center?
The U.S. Taekwondo Center is located on 149 Cabot Street. From 128N, take exit 22E. At the end of ramp, take a right onto
Route 62. Continue down this road until it ends, in front of Beverly Paint & Supply. Take a right onto Cabot Street.
Follow Cabot St. past St. Mary’s Church and City Hall. U.S. Taekwondo Center will be on the left, after Bank of America.
How do I get to Lynch Park?
David S. Lynch Memorial Park is located on 55 Ober Street in Beverly. From 128N take exit 18. Turn right onto Rte 22S.
You will see a small shopping area on the left. Pass over a set of railroad tracks and take a left onto the third street,
Corning Street. Go through the first two stop signs. At the third stop sign, turn right onto Neptune Street. At the top of
the hill you will see a stone wall. The second entrance leads to Lynch Park’s main parking lot.
